You're ablsolutely right, I left it out at first, because I had a day to build the whole site, and then it was interesting to see how many blank emails came through from people testing out the form.
But I see your point it is unprofessional to leave of the validation. Consider it added ;)
I really like the look of the site but it lost considerable marks for not working nicely in IE and for the navigation buttons.
I would have liked to have seen the more commonly used css image rollover technique, combining all states of the link into one image, so that when the user hovers over the link it doesn't have to load a new image.
